Criteri e strumenti per l'ottimizzazione del processo decisionale della manutenzione urbana

Maintenance on an urban scale is characterized by a high procedural and operative complexity; to implement adequate choices in intervention planning it is necessary to have tools capable of helping administrators and citizens to “decide how to decide”, that is, to identify needs and to plan strategies on long and middle term, in order to obtain the best urban system performance, minimizing at the same time the maintenance and environmental costs. We are obviously talking about methods and tools aiming at optimizing the decisional processes in order to address the economic, human and environmental resources towards an on-going improvement of the performances as well as of the delivered service level. An important challenge is then the implementation and experimentation of a specific instrumentation to plan the maintenance process during its strategic and meta-decisional phase. In order to achieve such a goal, it is necessary to leave the traditional study fields.
