The author participated in a number of activities organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). In connection with the majority of those activities he had the opportunity to know the details of the operational conditions of current Nuclear Power Plants (NPP) and to comment on various aspects mostly connected with the safety and the safety planning in case of accidents.
