Acute kidney injury (AKI) is due to a sudden decrease in renal function. Given the close correlation between the changes in renal microperfusion and renal function, we suggested an ultrasonography study of renal perfusion with CEUS in dogs with AKI, before being subjected to dialysis therapy. The present study aims to investigate whether ultrasound with contrast represents a sensitive diagnostic survey for the study of renal perfusion changes.
