The optimization of code nodalization (or input deck) for accident analysis in Nuclear Power Plants (NPP) is based upon the analysis of experimental data in Integral Test Facilities (ITF). The idea came to develop one basic nodalization scheme valid for both the ITF (whatever the scale) and the NPP. The idea was implemented by setting up a common nodding for SPES, LOBI, LSTF and BETHSY ITF and a reference NPP (PWR, Pressurized Water Reactor). The report describes the implementation of the idea adopting the French code CATHARE as computational tools. The UMAE (Uncertainty Method based on Accuracy Extrapolation) include this idea as a need for the application roadmap.
