The 3D SUNCOP training Course was established in the year 2000 at University of Pisa to train and educate scientists in the area of application of thermal-hydraulic to Nuclear Reactor Safety and Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) design. Since the a dozen Course have been held all over the world. Key topics of the course are: • Qualification of codes and of nodalization • Method to quantify the accuracy • Uncertainty methods • Application of uncertainty methods • Licensing and connection with thermal-hydraulics in accident analysis • Coupling between codes, e.g. neutron physic and thermal-hydraulics • Methods to reduce the user effect in code calculation • Database of experiments for code validation
