Uncertainty characterizes extant organizations forced to struggle with various types of risks and exposed to extreme external discontinuity (Kaplan & Mikes, 2012.). Being global logistics and SCM nevralgic in the acquisition and maintenance of the competitive advantage, resilience – here intended as the capability to quickly respond to and recover from adverse events that may arise from direct competitive actions or other external factors – has to be guaranteed. Resilient logistics and supply chains (and related organizations) are therefore key elements of the competitive system of modern businesses and require diverse skills such as manufacturing and distribution blueprint design, designing products for flexible manufacturing, inventory and forecast optimization, designing and implementing robust business processes. Companies need skilled people in order to be able to deploy such capabilities. Aim of this contribution is to provide a map of the main European managerial profiles and competencies needed to develop resilient logistics and supply chain management.

Abstract
Aim of this contribution is to provide a map of the main European managerial profiles and competencies needed to develop resilient logistics and supply chain management.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
