Abstract

The paper shows a critical analysis of the two methods to be used for the seismic risk classification of constructions, suggested by the newest Ministerial Order 65 of 7th May 2017: “Guidelines for Seismic Risk Classification of Constructions”, published by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport. This evaluation is supported by some example applications, useful to understand the procedures to be followed for the application of the methods. These procedures are illustrated and discussed, highlighting both negative and positive aspects.
