Abstract
An effective technique for the loss probability calculation in queueing systems with heavy tails is developed. The technique is used for analysis of queueing systems with power-law distributions which are widespread as models of network devices operating under fractal traffic. Dependence form of loss probability on a buffer capacity in the systems is analyzed. The effect of the channel number in queuing systems on the dependence is examined. In practice, the developed rapid technique and obtained results of its applying might be used for solving of engineering problems of analysis and design of modern computer networksFile in questo prodotto:
