LEARNING OBJECTIVES To demonstrate the advantanges of distance learning for undergraduate and postgraduate students in medicine. To show a friendly teachers interface to manage medical courses. ABSTRACT At the University of Pisa, Faculty of Medicine, we developed a web based application, called "TestNet" for distance learning. TestNet was realized with Open Source J2EE technology and MySQL database server; it is an interactive system to share and deliver medical learning concepts. TestNet gives teachers the opportunity to create, customize and manage on-line courses providing e-learning resources, multimedia documents, quiz (multiple choices, drag & drop, fill the gaps), live lectures and live students support (individual on-line meeting with teachers). A section is reserved to manage in-door exams, providing students on-line exam submissions, and random quiz exams with real time full results. The students can access the platform by a common web browser. The exhibit will show the functionalities and the advantages of the system in real time.

The exhibit will show the functionalities and the advantages of the system in real time.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
