Lepton Flavor Violation in muon decays is gaining more and more interest as a sensitive probe for Supersymmetry. The current status of the experimental search for lepton flavor violation in rare muon decays is reviewed, with emphasis laid on mu+ -> e+ gamma and mu+ -> e+ e- e+ decays and m- -> e- scattering. Future perspectives are examined, as well as the impact of an increased muon source intensity on the experimental sensitivity to the above LFV channels.

Abstract
Lepton Flavor Violation in muon decays is gaining more and more interest as a sensitive probe for Supersymmetry. The current status of the experimental search for lepton flavor violation in rare muon decays is reviewed, with emphasis laid on mu+ -> e+ gamma and mu+ -> e+ e- e+ decays and m- -> e- scattering. Future perspectives are examined, as well as the impact of an increased muon source intensity on the experimental sensitivity to the above LFV channels.File in questo prodotto:
