Classification Techniques for Conformance and Performance Checking in Process Analysis

Standard process analysis techniques,like conformance checking or performance evaluation, are enabled by the existence of event logs that trace the process executions and by the presence of a model that formally represents the process. Such analysis techniques use only part of the huge amount of data recorded in event logs. In this paper the goal is to exploit this data to extract useful information for conformance checking and performance analysis. We present an approach that using standard classification technique, explores how data influence process behaviors by affecting its conformance or performance.
