The purpose of this study is to verify whether the verb partager, following the advent of social networks, is affected by semantic and combinatorial neology. We present the concept of neology and examine the description of the verb partager in the tables of the lexicon-grammar. Then, we analyze the syntactic co-occurrents of this verb in a 200 million word corpus (1991-2000) and compare these results with more recent attestations of this verb from our corpus.
