The article aims at analyzing the lyrical connections between word, silence and absence in poems by Sylvia Plath and Alejandra Pizarnik, often considered similar due to their biographical trajectories: a contrastive examination of the theme of silence and blankness, however, shows distinctive implications and contributes to the reevaluation of their poetry despite tragic real-life experiences.
