Abstract

The excavations carried on at Pupiina Cave are unveiling new aspects of a period that, despite the abundance of its vestiges in the territory, is still poorly known, mostly because of the scantiness of the interdisciplinary data provided by the old studies. In the framework of these new excavations, a geoarchaeological study was carried out on the Pupiina Cave post-Mesolithic sequence. The aim of this work is to elucidate the relationships between man and environment, as recorded in the sequence of the sediments that build up the infilling of the cave.
