This chapter analyses the impact of foreign investments in Latin America. Specifically, it addresses the collective human right of indigenous peoples to their territories and natural resources in the light of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights jurisprudence. It asks to what extent foreign investments ensure the development of Latin American States, while undermining the respect and protection of human rights of indigenous peoples.
