Scopo di quest’articolo è mostrare l'utilità dell'applicazione di un sistema di analisi GIS a contesti che attengono alle scienze sociali e in particolare nello studio dei processi di territorializzazione della popolazione immigrata, dove l'imprenditorialità rappresenta un aspetto di grande interesse in quanto consente di valutare la capacità di inserimento nel circuito economico di soggetti immigrati e di processi di stabilizzazione in atto. Il tipo di analisi vuole comprendere come la crescita di imprenditorialità della popolazione straniera sia indice di maggiore integrazione o di passaggio da una situazione di precarietà verso la stabilizzazione, o se in taluni casi possa essere letta come difficoltà a inserirsi in un modo diverso nel mondo del lavoro. The goal of this article is to explore and describe the general kinds of question relevant to sociological inquiry that GIS helps analyse. The project concerns the realisation of an Atlas of the foreigner entrepreneurship in Tuscany that represents an aspect of great interest because it allows appraising the ability of insertion in the economic circuit of subject's immigrants and the processes of stabilization in progress. The actual tendency is represented by the increasing development of autonomous job from the immigrants but such tendency can point out difficulty to insert them in the particular sectors. The aim of the project is to deepen the knowledge of the phenomenon that is changing the characteristics of some entrepreneurial (i.e. manufacturing, commerce, construction). A better knowledge of the processes can contribute to valorise the points of strength of the foreigner entrepreneurship, to contribute to a best integration and to mitigate the conflicts that derive from the impetuous one and not checked development of new initiatives.
