Abstract
In spite of a very well-established tradition of philological and linguistic studies, few efforts have been made to systematically analyse the material aspects of the circa 550 Christian Sogdian manuscript fragments coming from the Turfan oasis (present-day Xinjiang, Uyghur Autonomous Region, China). Christian Iranian codicology is an unexplored teritory, a field which has yet to be developed, and one that can not be separated from Syriac codicology. The contribution addresses specific questions about the mise en page and mise and texte of the Christian Sogdian manuscript fragments.File in questo prodotto:
