The recent publication of Eduardo Viveiros de Castro’s work, "Prospettivismo cosmologico in Amazzonia e altrove", leads us to some reflections. How does it work our relation with the Otherness? What kind of relationships do we build with it? What toolbox do we engage for talking about it? I want to suggest that the intellectual and philosophical enterprise of Eduardo Viveiros de Castro, as well as the answers to the previous questions, these are strictly bound to one of the most important problem of modernity, i.e. the radical rethinking of the subject’s concept in Western philosophy.
