Abstract

De origine rerum praedicamentalium is generally known as a work of categorical ontology; nevertheless, the fact that Dietrich of Freiberg attributed to the intellect a peculiar constitutive function bring us to a whole rethinking of the gnoseological thought. With this regard, the analysis of the imagination and of the perception proposed in the last chapter of the work consents to find out clearly the purposes pursued by Dietrich with this peculiar noetic concept.
