La Constitución Política del Estado Libre y Soberano de Guerrero nel quadro del costituzionalismo statale del Messico

This article analyses the Constitución Política del Estado Libre y Soberano de Guerrerocurrently in force, after its total revision, carried out in 2014. Thepaper recalls the constitutional eventsthat have affected the state of Guerrero since the first constitutional process,started in 1850, then it focuses on the nature and legal value of this State Constitution, as well as on its structure and general features.Afterward it takes into consideration the different sections of the Constitution: first of all, the fundamental values and principles on which the constitutional system is grounded, as well as the discipline of the rights and liberties that the system protects and guarantees. The essay focuses also on the form of government and the institutions of the State (in particular: Congreso, Government and judicial power).At the end of the investigation the author supports the perspective that the recent constitutional reform will contribute tothe consolidation of a democratic system that is still precarious, empowering the role of civil society in order to favor a real political responsibility, the recognition and protection of human rights and the end to every governmental abuse of power. Finally, the enforcement of the rule of law represents a fundamental aim to be pursued
