With these two sentences, one could summarize the foreign policy of the contemporary Kingdom of Morocco, which has always been heavily influenced by its geographical location. Close to the European continent, bordered by the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean, historical trading partner of Europe as of Africa, Morocco is endowed with enviable infrastructures and and it is politically stable. All this, despite the poisonous diplomatic relations with Algeria and the unresolved issue of Western Sahara, has allowed Rabat to launch, for several years, a foreign and economic political strategy, south-north and south-south which is really unique in the context of the African countries. This strategy is not only an ambitious project of regional power but also, and above all, a 360-degree survival strategy to withstand the global crisis, globalization and regional disorder. An innovative approach, whose fruits can mature only in the long run.
