Bernini a casa propria. Lo spazio e l'allestimento. Bernini in his own home. The space and the exhibition set up

The essay traces the genesis of the exhibition dedicated to Bernini in 2017 inside the Galleria Borghese articulating a reflection on the architectural space of the museum and that generated by the set-up prepared for the exhibition. In fact, the Gallery constitutes the privileged place to host Gian Lorenzo's grand theater and revive the climate of amazement and excitement generated by the artist's presence in the villa among the entourage of Paul V's nephew. A place created to collect and produce works of art.

Il saggio ripercorre la genesi della mostra dedicata a Bernini nel 2017 all’interno della Galleria Borghese articolando una riflessione sullo spazio architettonico del museo e quello generato dall’allestimento predisposto per l’esposizione. Infatti la Galleria costituisce il luogo privilegiato per ospitare il gran teatro di Gian Lorenzo e far rivivere il clima di stupore ed eccitazione generato dalla presenza dell’artista nella villa fra l’entourage del nipote di Paolo V. Un luogo creato per raccogliere e produrre opere d’arte.
