The essay analyzes the architectural evolution of the church and convent of Santa Maria Maddalena de' a Pazzi in Borgo Pinti in Florence. A medieval coenoby that, starting from the 13th century, has undergone many transformations and adaptations, starting from the great 15th-16th century renovation and ending with the Baroque renovation. The architecture of the complex is analyzed by following the various construction phases, from its origins to the twentieth century.
Il saggio analizza l’evoluzione architettonica della chiesa e il convento di Santa Maria Maddalena de’ a Pazzi in Borgo Pinti a Firenze. Un cenobio medievale che a partire dal XIII secolo ha attraversato molteplici trasformazioni e adattamenti, a partire dal grande rinnovamento quattro-cinquecentesco per giungere al rinnovamento barocco. L’architettura del complesso è analizzata seguendo le varie fasi costruttive, dalle origini fino al Novecento.
