This article presents and analyses some words from the Relazione del primo viaggio attorno al mondo (1523/1524) by Antonio Pigafetta that have shown meaning interpretation difficulties and therefore in translating them into Spanish. The first part of the study describes the manuscript that tells of the first circumnavigation of the globe and the second part presents the words that have represented the greatest difficulty in translation, a discussion of the problems of each of them, with the solutions of previous translations, followed by the reasoned proposal of the authors.
