Abstract
PHerc. 1390/908, which hands down a unique Epicurean text on human procreation, has historically been assigned to Epicurus’ masterpiece On Nature, several books of which are preserved in the Herculanean collection. Now various arguments allow us to challenge this authorship and suggest that the author of this text can rather be identified with Demetrius Laco, an Epicurean philosopher of the 2nd/1st century B.C., several of whose treatises have survived among the Herculaneum papyri.File in questo prodotto:
