This Preface presents the proceedings of the seminar on: "The follow-up to the referendum on cutting parliamentarians. Reflections from a comparative perspective", organised by the Association of Comparative and European Public Law" on 11 December 2020. The preface briefly summarizes the contents of the Constitutional Revision Act n. 1/2021, identifying the interventions that might be appropriate to allow this reform to fully operate and foster a positive evolution of the Italian parliamentary system.
