Pisa in the Fourteenth century folds into trade in a Tyrrhenian dimension and moves away from some more distant merchant squares (such as those in the East and Northern Europe). In this study, a quantitative analysis of the customs registers of the port of Cagliari in the second half of the Fourteenth century (now under Catalan-Aragonese domination) calculated the flows of goods imported (or exported) by Pisan merchants. The study, based on an unpublished documentation, reveals how the economic ties between Pisa and Cagliari, but also with the entire island, remained very active and strong.

Abstract
Pisa in the Fourteenth century folds into trade in a Tyrrhenian dimension and moves away from some more distant merchant squares (such as those in the East and Northern Europe). In this study, a quantitative analysis of the customs registers of the port of Cagliari in the second half of the Fourteenth century (now under Catalan-Aragonese domination) calculated the flows of goods imported (or exported) by Pisan merchants. The study, based on an unpublished documentation, reveals how the economic ties between Pisa and Cagliari, but also with the entire island, remained very active and strong.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
