Abstract
This paper intends to analyse how the emergence of charges of ritual murder gradually changed the cultural paradigms that were foundational to the idea and representation of the Jew in Western Europe, both on a literary level and iconographically, during the High and the Late Middle Ages. I present here the most famous ones, and reflect on the Christian representation of these cases, in terms of both written and iconographic sources.File in questo prodotto:
