In this Chapter the main points of Finite Element (FE) wear simulations are discussed with some examples, first examining steady state boundary conditions (BCs) and secondly cyclic loadings. The major limit of these analyses is their computational cost which can be reduced by the application of the submodeling technique, introduced in the last part of the chapter.

Abstract
In this Chapter the main points of Finite Element (FE) wear simulations are discussed with some examples, first examining steady state boundary conditions (BCs) and secondly cyclic loadings. The major limit of these analyses is their computational cost which can be reduced by the application of the submodeling technique, introduced in the last part of the chapter.File in questo prodotto:
