The article proposes the first commented critical edition of one of the four short poetic texts written in Old Salentino and transmitted by the codex Florence, Biblioteca Medicea Laurenziana, Pluteo 57.36. The texts, written in the Greek alphabet, can be dated between the second half of the 13th century and the first years of the 14th century, and therefore represent a rare sample of the vulgar literary production of southern Italy in the Middle Ages. Some proposals are made for the interpretation and metric and textual reconstruction of the fragments, which pose considerable difficulties; an attempt is also made to define more precisely the diatopic issues of the different copyists.

Abstract
The article proposes the first commented critical edition of one of the four short poetic texts written in Old Salentino and transmitted by the codex Florence, Biblioteca Medicea Laurenziana, Pluteo 57.36. The texts, written in the Greek alphabet, can be dated between the second half of the 13th century and the first years of the 14th century, and therefore represent a rare sample of the vulgar literary production of southern Italy in the Middle Ages. Some proposals are made for the interpretation and metric and textual reconstruction of the fragments, which pose considerable difficulties; an attempt is also made to define more precisely the diatopic issues of the different copyists.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
