Since the 1980s, the Area Scheibler, located in the Western outskirts of Pisa, has been the place of several rescue excavations and discoveries. Such discoveries testify the long-lasting history of this sector of the ancient suburb – formerly crossed by the Auser river course – with a consistent Roman phase. The 2020 campaign has been the first planned stratigraphic excavation of the Pisa Progetto Suburbio research project, aiming to define both the chronology and the nature of the human settlement in the area. The aim of this contribution is to provide a brief description of the stratigraphic sequence and of the data structure of the 2020 investigations, together with the archaeological documentation released in Open Data.
