The article traces Leonardo Amoroso’s legacy by focusing on his interpretation of Kant. The main aim is to find in Amoroso’s hermeneutic approach to transcendental philosophy the original motifs of his research into the field of aesthetics. I discuss the close link he sees between Kant and Heidegger, and I point out the meta-critical attitude underlying his philosophical inquiries
