Abstract
In the paper total institutions are humanized by exploring how the self is restructured through social interaction in new and often challenging contexts. In studying Foucault’s work, the author shows how though the “practice of self” the subject is able to develop himself/herself in an active manner. In this way, the self is considered as a rite of artistic performance, in particular of theatrical expression.File in questo prodotto:
