The chapter tackles the main issues related to the legal framework of preventive measures of security for criminally responsible subjects. Starting from an introductory overview on this framework, it then retraces the main criticalities behind this system on a dogmatic and applicative level. Finally, it turns to analyze the 2017 Reform Project dwelling on the purposed solutions to the highlighted critical points concerning those measures.
