After the publication of the six volumes of the Diccionario de autoridades from 1726 to 1739, the RAE devoted itself to the second edition of the Diccionario, of which only the first volume (A-B) was published in 1770. The unpublished materials relating to the other letters, recently recovered in the RAE archive, show that the work undertaken continued well into the 19th century, although the result of the painstaking work of the academics was never printed. This material, as well as that which comes from the semi-automatic emptying of the database of theDiccionario de autoridades prepared by the Rafael Lapesa Research Institute, represents the corpus of the work that we present, which studies the voices of the twoDiccionario de autoridades belonging to the thematic areas of architecture.
