France, early decades of the twentieth century: an unexpected consequence of the increased presence of women in public spaces is women’s resistance against what responds to the term feminism. The phenomenon does give rise to structured and cohesive anti-feminist fronts but also to individual voices, each with its own cultural, political and social sensitivity. That of the protestant Marthe Borély (1880-1955) stands out, among others, for its authority and originality. In this work we will try to get into the folds of her thought by insisting on words and expressions intended to strengthen the arsenal of anti-feminist arguments
