Tra fascismo "vecchio" e fascismo "nuovo". Il percorso del GUF di Pisa

A brief analysis of the evolution of Pisan university fascism since the times of Squadrismo and during the twenty years of the regime, up until the choice of sides after September 8, 1943. This paper highlights the different expectations gradually manifested by the different generations of Pisan fascist students, some of whom criticized and even challenged the policies of the regime. Students belonging to the well-known «Zangrandi Group», as well as other students on their way to antifascism, if not antifascist already, actively operated in the Guf of Pisa. Nevertheless Italy’s military defeat in WWII was the real reason for the collapse of the previous «granitic certainties» of university youth.

Una breve analisi dell’evoluzione del fascismo universitario pisano dai tempi dello squadrismo a quelli del regime, fino alla scelta di campo dopo l’8 settembre 1943. Alla luce dell’avvicendarsi delle generazioni gufine e del mutare delle loro aspettative e prospettive in riferimento al contesto di sistema, si evidenziano i diversi orientamenti via via manifestatisi nella base studentesca con punte di contestazione anche radicale del posizionarsi e dello strutturarsi del regime. Sicché nel Guf di Pisa militarono attivamente sia elementi del noto «gruppo Zangrandi», sia elementi già approdati o in via d’approdo all’antifascismo. Fermo restando naturalmente che fu la sconfitta militare la ragione vera del crollo delle precedenti «granitiche certezze» della gioventù universitaria.
