The present paper aims to demonstrate that the historiographical concept of Historische Grundwissenschaften, intended as a whole, has also been employed with the same meaning in Eastern European historical studies. For this purpose, the present research offers a brief overview of the production on this topic which has been elaborated in various Eastern European countries, highlighting the importance of sharing knowledge across borders, either geographical, cultural or linguistic, and focusing on the need to create international networks to improve and develop research on Historische Grundwissenschaften.
