Philological and etymological research on several names given by Roman and Greek sources to an Iberian river. One of its names, oblivio, can be analyzed as a tautological compound formed by two hydronymic lexical bases (*ob-, *lim-) current among river names and apparently characterized by a form of early lenition possibly ascribable to Celtiberian phonetics.
