The experimental study described in the energy and social improvement addresses the problem of urban renewal of a peripheral area through the modernization of a school building. The aim of the research is to correlate energy improvement with the quality of urban life through the creation of social gathering places, sustainable mobility, environmental sustainability and cultural activities for the neighborhood. The study started from the analysis and comparison of different certification systems for green buildings in order to identify the most complete and suitable for the objectives of the experimentation. Since the study was carried out in Italy, the research has focused on national and international certification systems such as LEED, ITACA and Klimahaus-CasaClima to identify possible project guidelines. The main problem is identified in the determination of the modalities of correlation between the requalification of the building and the public space project; the suggested approach is to derive and integrate the different requirements expressed by the analyzed protocols in order to establish guidelines aimed at the experimentation target. Thanks to the study, it has been possible to arrive at useful guidelines for implementing urban and social regeneration interventions starting from the planning of modernization projects for the construction of schools.

Abstract
Thanks to the study, it has been possible to arrive at useful guidelines for implementing urban and social regeneration interventions starting from the planning of modernization projects for the construction of schools.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
