The main subject of this contribution is the concept of spectrality in Jacques Derrida’s thought. I will start with an initial terminological examination, in which the concept of spectrality is compared with that of spirit. I will then go on to show how the spectre is a econstructive tool as it questions the classical dichotomies of Western philosophy: absence/presence, life/death, soul/body, personal/impersonal, real/virtual. I will end with some considerations about the ethical implications of the idea of the spectrum through a comparison with Heidegger on the question of justice.

Abstract
The main subject of this contribution is the concept of spectrality in Jacques Derrida’s thought. I will start with an initial terminological examination, in which the concept of spectrality is compared with that of spirit. I will then go on to show how the spectre is a econstructive tool as it questions the classical dichotomies of Western philosophy: absence/presence, life/death, soul/body, personal/impersonal, real/virtual. I will end with some considerations about the ethical implications of the idea of the spectrum through a comparison with Heidegger on the question of justice.File in questo prodotto:
