What is more important: the differences between them and the other nations, or the points they all have in common? Their history is a model for the Gentile nations, or an exceptional, even peripheral case? By comparing the three editions of the New Science, this paper aims at examining the following hypothesis: that the variety of evaluations on Vico’s position about the Hebrews can depend on the fact that Vico himself changed his opinion on the matter over time.
