Leopardi e l’eroicomico. Una questione da riconsiderare

The essay investigates Leopardi’s relationship with the heroicomic tradition. Starting from the youthful Arte poetica travestita ed esposta in ottava rima, through the three translations of Homeric Batracomiomachia, and up to the late Paralipomeni, the question of the presence of the heroicomic in Leopardi’s work is reconsidered, identifying new perspectives of investigation in relation to ancient and modern authors.

Il saggio indaga il rapporto di Leopardi con la tradizione eroicomica. Partendo dalla giovanile Arte poetica travestita ed esposta in ottava rima, attraverso le tre traduzioni della Batracomiomachia omerica e fino ai tardi Paralipomeni, viene riconsiderata la questione della presenza dell’eroicomico nell’opera leopardiana, individuando nuove prospettive di indagine in rapporto agli autori antichi e moderni.
