In the present paper the PHP with a long adiabatic section made of straight capillary pipes has been tested. The effect of the long adiabatic section on the PHP start-up has been investigated. The thermal characterization of a PHP with a very long adiabatic section (90% of the total length) is therefore presented and discussed.

Abstract
