Le nuove generazioni di immigrati tra appartenenza territoriale e interazioni transnazionali: il caso della Toscana

The new generations of immigrants between territorial belonging and transnational interactions: the case of Tuscany. This work aims to contribute to the scientific and political debate on immigrant integration processes, focusing attention on the “bridging” role played by the new generations in strengthening the relations of foreign communities with the local context; in maintaining links with the place and culture of origin; in participating in networks and exchanges on an international scale. Taking into consideration the results of the surveys conducted within the Prin project “The Italy of others”, the work focuses on exploring, through a comparative analysis between the case of Tuscany and those of other Italian regions, the processes of social integration and cultural exchange of the new generations; their interactions with the different spheres and communities; the perceptions and narratives of territorial multi-belonging.
