Italy needs to reflect on the strategies for the recovery of its own landscape values, but also its urban values. It is impossible to deny the necessity of a politics that recognizes in the quality and beauty of the landscape a priority objective and an essential strategic key to remodel the complex relationship that exists between territory and community in the perspective of the sustainable development. The contribution that proposes him intends to underline the evolution of the concept of beauty in normative circle with specific attention to the actual guardianship of the environment as well as the coherence with the different politics that are also pursued in European circle and pointing out some knots.
