In the present contribution, the authors present some new discoveries of prehistoric artefacts, hitherto unpublished, made in the territory of the municipalities of Finale Ligure and Borgio Verezzi (SV), in western Liguria. The finds are represented by ceramics that are attributable to a chronological horizon spanning between the end of the Neolithic and the final Bronze Age. All the ceramics have been found in small cavities of the territory. These new finds provide a starting point for presenting some considerations about the use of natural cavities in this territory after the Neolithic period.

Abstract

In the present contribution, the authors present some new discoveries of prehistoric artefacts, hitherto unpublished, made in the territory of the municipalities of Finale Ligure and Borgio Verezzi (SV), in western Liguria. The finds are represented by ceramics that are attributable to a chronological horizon spanning between the end of the Neolithic and the final Bronze Age. All the ceramics have been found in small cavities of the territory. These new finds provide a starting point for presenting some considerations about the use of natural cavities in this territory after the Neolithic period.
