A total of 134 hybrids, Muscovy duck (MD) * Game Farm Mallard (GFM) were bred inside a pultry house till 4 weeks of age then transferred outside in small pens. The birds were weighted from 4 weeks to 25 weeks of age and a sample was slaughtered. The hybrids were characterized by absence of sexual dimorphism and their adult live weight (LW) was similar to female MD and GFM adult weights (AW). The growth rate was very rapid till 9 weeks of age (LW 1849 g), at which age the birds reached 90% of theAW. At this age the ready to cook carcass (1200 g) was 92% of the AW. The thigh and leg muscles (234 g) had quite the same weight as in the adult. The abdominal fat (13 g) was 182% of the AW. The breast muscles (211 g) were 60% of the AW.
