This article aims at analysing some events connected to Hannibal's life after the battle of Zama. The author draws attention on the relatively large amount of details we know about this period of the Carthaginian’s life, and examines cautiously these episodes. Finally, she attempts to illustrate their significance from a biographical and historiographical point of view.
