The article proposes a critical path through the poetry of Stefano Carrai, starting from the first collection Il tempo che non muore (Interlinea 2012), passing through La traversata del Gobi (Aragno 2017) and Equinozio (Industria & Letteratura 2021), in order to outline the themes-problems that emerge lyrical after lyrical – the key role of the summer seasons in the existence of the individual, the relationship between memory and oblivion, the interweaving of personal and collective history – and contextualize them in the production of the poet. A special attention is also given to the analysis of the “verso a gradino”, with the intention of showing how, even in the case of certain metric-prosodic aspects, a red thread can be traced that connects the different collections.
L’articolo propone un percorso critico attraverso la poesia di Stefano Carrai, partendo dalla prima raccolta Il tempo che non muore (Interlinea 2012), passando per La traversata del Gobi (Aragno 2017) ed Equinozio (Industria & Letteratura 2021), allo scopo di delineare i temi-problemi che emergono lirica dopo lirica – il ruolo chiave delle stagioni estive nell’esistenza dell’individuo, il rapporto fra ricordo e oblio, l’intreccio fra vicenda personale e storia collettiva – e contestualizzarli nella produzione del poeta. Uno spazio particolare è inoltre riservato all’analisi del verso a gradino, con l’intenzione di mostrare come anche nel caso di determinati aspetti metrico-prosodici possa rintracciarsi un filo rosso che collega le diverse raccolte.
